Tell me about yourself

I’m a researcher, designer, and the co-founder of Selkie Agency. Since 2007, I’ve been involved in research, and since 2014, I’ve kept my focus on projects related to creating and developing digital products. I also co-organise an international conference World Usability Day Silesia (WUD Silesia). I am an experienced workshop facilitator and a lecturer, specialised in design research, usability testing, and business workshops. I’m co-hosting technological accelerator Found Sektor 3.0. I’m a lecturer at postgraduate User Experience Design studies (SWPS University), E-Marketing (WSE / SWPS University). I pursue my scientific interests in the Laboratory of Personality (Psychology Institute of Psychology Polish Academy of Sciences). My passions lie in cyberpsychology, narrative psychology, personality psychology, and social psychology. In research, I focus my attention on areas concerning processes of self-regulation among users of digital products.

What do you like best about your job?

I appreciate the unique mix of analysis, creativity, and engagement with diverse domains of human activity. While I specialize in a specific type of research, each year, I have the opportunity to collaborate with various businesses, entrepreneurs, and experts from different industries. It keeps my work dynamic and enriching!

Which historical figure would you like to have lunch with?

Can I pick more than one? If I had to choose just one, it would be Carl Gustav Jung.

What are you excited about right now?

Combining my business practice and scientific research. Tackling a stack of books, which I will finish this year. And simply observing this strange, vibrant, and pulsating world.

Can you share some music you like? What do you like about it?

I still remember when audio tape and Walkman were the handfulest ways to listen to music. Maybe that’s why – even after two decades of streaming media – I’m constantly amazed at the plenty and diversity of music I can enjoy every day. I work with smooth, instrumental music, but during my free time, I always go back to my rock and industrial inspirations.
